Team Ravenswood is proud to take on the First Responder Smart Tracking (FRST) Challenge with the express goal of enhancing the operational effectiveness and safety of First Responders everywhere. Working with our partners, we developed a prototype indoor 3D tracking device called Navigation Orientation through Reckoning and Analysis (NORA) that can be deployed without reliance on pre-installed or existing public infrastructure. NORA leverages highly accurate long-range vision tracking from our augmented reality training system for military applications. NORA is designed to work indoors, outdoors, and underground over long distances and timeframes, without continuous reliance on GPS. The final product will be flexible enough to work with all forms of first responder uniforms/equipment and affordable for departments of any size.
